Centre médico-social Vaudois

Pour vous, chez vous. Aide et soins à domicile

The Centres Médico-Sociaux (CMS) in the canton of Vaud are parapublic institutions dedicated to home help and care, as well as health promotion and prevention. They enable people of all ages with health, dependency or disability problems to receive appropriate care and support in their own homes.

Brief & challenge

CMS Vaudois wanted to create an interactive stand at the ‘Planète Santé’ trade fair, which took place on 16th and 17th of November at Beaulieu Lausanne.

Health prevention was the main objective: to raise public awareness of the following two issues:

  • The challenges parents face with young children aged 0-4 years
  • Highlighting the difficulties encountered by family carers in their day-to-day lives

Our approach

We created an installation in which visitors go behind the wheel of the iconic CMS car to immerse themselves in an interactive movie.
The experience we created was fun and entertaining for visitors and fulfilled the main objectives of raising public awareness.
We developed two scenarios for ‘Planète Santé’:
  • The first scenario asked visitors about the issue of screen time among young children and, more broadly, about the questions facing new parents, through an interview between an early childhood nurse and two new parents.
  • The second scenario highlighted the day-to-day life of a family carer and the difficulties she encounters with her dad. At the end of the scenario, she becomes aware of her distress and need for help.
In the future, these experiences will be available online and on interactive terminals and additional scenarios dealing with other health issues will be added.

End note

We pitched for the CMS project against other agencies and Krew won in association with the Marvelous Digital agency.

Our proposal was as follows:

  • Use of an iconic element (well known CMS car) that will catch the visitor’s eye
  •  Raising awareness of health issues through gamification
  •  An interactive experience that can be shared
  •  A concept that can be adapted to various media platforms and more future scenarios

Marvelous Digital was responsible for the technical implementation of the experience, the design of the stand and its production.
Krew conceptualised and produced the scenarios.
